Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a trailblazer in the fast-casual dining industry, committed to cultivating a better world by serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made with wholesome ingredients devoid of artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Established as a leader and innovator in the food industry, Chipotle operates restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Unlike many of its competitors, Chipotle owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe, which ensures a consistent commitment to quality and sustainability across its growing network. The company continues to focus on its Food With Integrity philosophy, driving sustainable farming, progressive food sourcing, and cutting-edge digital and technological advancements to enhance customer experience. With a people-first culture, the company emphasizes diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity employment, fostering a supportive environment where all employees can thrive and develop professionally.

The role of Service Leader at Chipotle is integral to delivering the brand’s promise of great-tasting, high-quality food served quickly, but with uncompromising standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity for candidates passionate about the food service industry, customer experience, and food safety. Service Leaders are responsible for maintaining a positive customer experience by ensuring that food prepared and served meets strict quality and safety standards. They play a hands-on role during service, remaining active and engaged on the floor, managing the restaurant crew, and supporting food safety protocols. This leadership role requires staying vigilant with food safety measures, monitoring line quality, and ensuring a clean, organized environment with properly functioning equipment.

Beyond operational duties, the Service Leader supports staff development by cross-training crew members, assisting with performance reviews, and helping develop future leaders within the restaurant. This role also includes responsibilities like managing cash handling and office administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and maintaining office equipment. Service Leaders act as critical points of contact in resolving customer incidents, ensuring every guest leaves with a positive impression of Chipotle. The position is physically active, requiring time on your feet and an eagerness to step in wherever help is needed if the pace slows. This dynamic environment encourages leaders to be proactive and multitask, contributing directly to smooth daily operations and an exceptional customer experience.

Chipotle values the growth and well-being of its employees, offering competitive compensation and outstanding benefits. The company supports educational advancement with tuition assistance covering 100% of select degrees or up to $5,250 per year. Employees enjoy perks such as free food, digital tips, paid time off, holiday closures, and comprehensive health insurance plans including medical, dental, and vision coverage. Chipotle’s culture of advancement means 80% of managers began their careers as crew members, providing a clear path for motivated individuals seeking to grow within an innovative, fast-paced organization. For candidates who value ethical food sourcing, cutting-edge technology in food service, a supportive culture, and opportunities for career development, the Service Leader role at Chipotle represents a remarkable opportunity to join a mission-driven company reshaping the future of fast food.
