The Service Leader role at Chipotle is a dynamic and integral position within the restaurant team. As a Service Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the customer experience by ensuring the preparation and serving of safe, quality, and great-tasting food. This role goes beyond just managing food quality; it involves overseeing the restaurant crew, ensuring they are well trained, motivated, and providing excellent customer service. Service Leaders maintain organized, clean, and efficient service lines with properly functioning equipment, demonstrating leadership both during busy periods and quieter times by proactively assisting with additional tasks.
This full-time role requires individuals who are physically active, ready to be on their feet during shifts, and skilled at multitasking. Key responsibilities include managing food safety by enforcing hand washing, glove changes, time and temperature controls, and adherence to food safety checklists and policies. The Service Leader also plays a crucial role in resolving customer incidents promptly to ensure positive dining experiences. Leadership duties include monitoring crew breaks and schedules, conducting shift meetings, and providing cross-training and development opportunities for front-of-house team members. Administrative responsibilities such as banking, cash handling, office equipment maintenance, and supply orders also fall under this role.

Job Requirements
- Have a high school diploma
- Have restaurant experience
- Be able to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy
- Have knowledge and experience of cash handling policies and procedures
- Have knowledge of food safety and health department matters
- Have familiarity with office paperwork
- Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location

Job Duties
- Make sure great tasting, high quality food is served
- Help resolve food quality issues
- Support food safety by ensuring hand washing and glove changes, monitoring time and temperature on the line, monitoring secondary shelf lives, and following daily food safety checklists
- Help resolve customer incidents and ensure positive customer experiences
- Monitor crew breaks, shift changes, shift meetings, and line schedules
- Develop and cross train all front of house crew
- Assist with crew performance reviews
- Develop future service leaders
- Assist with miscellaneous office administration duties such as banking, cash handling policies and responsibilities, and office paperwork
- Ensure office equipment remains in working order and order office supplies as necessary
- Ensure proper quantity of supplies are available as needed
