Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a leading fast-casual dining chain specializing in Mexican cuisine. Known for its commitment to Food With Integrity, Chipotle prioritizes responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food prepared with wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Established as a pioneer in the food industry, Chipotle operates company-owned restaurants across North America and Europe, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. The company is celebrated for engaging with sustainable business practices, leveraging digital and technological innovation, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for guests and employees alike.

Chipotle is more than just a restaurant; it is a brand driven by a mission to cultivate a better world by making better food accessible to everyone. Through its dedication to food quality, customer service, and community involvement, Chipotle seeks to transform the traditional fast-food experience into one that emphasizes sustainability, ethical sourcing, and a positive social impact. Team members at Chipotle are empowered to take part in a culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, supporting an environment where all employees can thrive and grow.

The Service Leader role at Chipotle is essential for maintaining the high standards and positive customer experiences that have become synonymous with the Chipotle brand. Service Leaders ensure that safe and quality food is prepared and served efficiently while supporting the training and development of restaurant crew members. This role requires individuals who are proactive, organized, and attentive to both food safety protocols and customer satisfaction. Service Leaders are expected to work actively on the restaurant floor, maintaining an organized line, handling equipment, and stepping in to assist with tasks as needed.

In addition to frontline responsibilities, Service Leaders assist in crew performance reviews, facilitate training to develop future leaders, and manage some office administrative duties such as cash handling, banking, and inventory oversight. The role demands a thorough understanding of Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy along with knowledge of food safety standards and cash management procedures. Candidates should have restaurant experience and the ability to communicate effectively in the primary language of the workplace.

Joining Chipotle as a Service Leader means becoming part of a people-first company that invests in its employees’ personal and professional growth. Chipotle offers competitive compensation and a range of benefits, including tuition assistance, free meals, medical coverage, paid time off, and holiday closures. The organization emphasizes career advancement opportunities, with a significant percentage of managers having started in crew-level positions. Embracing this position provides a chance to contribute to Chipotle’s ongoing mission of shaping the future of food and fostering a sustainable, inclusive work environment where every team member makes a meaningful difference.
