The Service Leader role at Chipotle plays a crucial part in delivering this mission by ensuring an outstanding customer experience through leadership on the restaurant floor. The Service Leader is responsible for maintaining food quality and food safety standards while mentoring and cross-training front-of-house crew members. Service Leaders actively engage with customers and team members to enhance service standards, resolve any issues that arise, and support a positive work environment. This role requires being on your feet while working your shift, prioritizing active participation in service delivery, alongside monitoring kitchen and customer service operations.

This position also encourages leadership development by assisting with crew performance reviews and nurturing future Service Leaders.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • making sure great tasting, high quality food is served
  • helping to resolve food quality issues
  • supporting food safety including ensuring hand washing and glove changes, monitoring time and temperature on the line, monitoring secondary shelf lives, and ensuring the daily food safety checklist and food safety policies and procedures are followed
  • helping to resolve customer incidents and working to ensure positive customer experiences
  • helping to monitor crew breaks, shift changes, shift meetings, and line schedules
  • developing and cross training all front of house crew
  • assisting with crew performance reviews
  • developing future service leaders
  • assisting with miscellaneous office administration duties such as banking, cash handling policies and responsibilities, and office paperwork
  • ensuring office equipment remains in working order and making sure office supplies are ordered as necessary
  • ensuring the proper quantity of supplies are available as needed
