The role of a Service Leader at Chipotle is a pivotal position responsible for maintaining a high-quality customer experience by ensuring that safe, tasty, and high-quality food is prepared and served efficiently. This role requires leadership and hands-on involvement where the Service Leader supervises the restaurant crew, ensuring proper training, adherence to food safety standards, and excellent customer service. The Service Leader manages the operational aspects such as maintaining a clean and organized line, operating line equipment correctly, and monitoring food safety compliance including glove changes, handwashing, temperature checks, and shelf life monitoring. In addition, the Service Leader supports customer satisfaction by resolving food quality issues and customer incidents professionally.
The Service Leader also plays a crucial role in crew management by monitoring breaks, shift changes, and meetings, as well as fostering development and cross-training initiatives for all front-of-house crew members. Furthermore, the Service Leader aids in performance reviews and the development of future leaders within the restaurant team. Beyond the floor responsibilities, the position involves administrative duties, including banking tasks, cash handling, managing office paperwork, ensuring office equipment function, and maintaining adequate supply levels. Service Leaders are expected to be proactive, engaged, and ready to assist with any tasks needed to keep the restaurant running smoothly.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Prior restaurant experience
- Knowledge and experience with cash handling policies and procedures
- Understanding of food safety and health department matters
- Familiarity with office paperwork
- Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of the work location
- Physical ability to be on feet and perform duties while clocked in

Job Duties
- Make sure great tasting, high quality food is served
- Help resolve food quality issues
- Support food safety by ensuring hand washing and glove changes, monitoring time and temperature on the line, monitoring secondary shelf lives, and completing Daily Food Safety Checklist
- Help resolve customer incidents and ensure positive customer experiences
- Monitor crew breaks, shift changes, shift meetings, and line schedules
- Develop and cross train all front of house crew
- Assist with crew performance reviews
- Develop future service leaders
- Assist with banking, cash handling policies, and office paperwork
- Ensure office equipment is functioning and order office supplies as needed
- Maintain proper quantity of supplies
