The Service Leader role at Chipotle is a vital position responsible for maintaining an outstanding customer experience by ensuring food quality, safety, and excellent service. The Service Leader plays a critical part in training and supervising the restaurant crew, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. This role requires the individual to be active and engaged on the restaurant floor, supporting team members during busy periods and proactively addressing tasks when not occupied. The Service Leader ensures that the food served meets Chipotle’s high standards while upholding rigorous food safety policies, including hand washing, glove changes, time and temperature monitoring, and completing safety checklists.

In addition to overseeing food preparation and quality, the Service Leader addresses customer incidents promptly to ensure satisfaction and positive interactions. They assist with crew scheduling, breaks, shift meetings, and performance evaluations, contributing to the professional growth of the team. Administrative responsibilities such as cash handling, banking, office paperwork, and supply management are also part of the day-to-day duties. Chipotle offers competitive base pay ranging from $22.85 to $25.44 per hour, supplemented by digital tips and a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Requirements

  • knowledge and experience of cash handling policies and procedures
  • knowledge of food safety and health department matters
  • familiarity with office paperwork
  • ability to speak, write, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location

Job Duties

  • Making sure great tasting, high quality food is served
  • helping to resolve food quality issues
  • supporting food safety which includes ensuring hand washing and glove changes, monitoring time and temperature on the line, monitoring secondary shelf lives, and ensuring food safety checklists and policies are followed
  • helping to resolve customer incidents and ensuring positive customer experiences
  • helping to monitor crew breaks, shift changes, shift meetings, and line schedules
  • developing and cross training all front of house crew
  • assisting with crew performance reviews
  • developing future service leaders
  • assisting with miscellaneous office administration duties such as banking, cash handling policies and responsibilities, and office paperwork
  • ensuring office equipment remains in working order and making sure office supplies are ordered as necessary
  • ensuring the proper quantity of supplies are available as needed
