The Service Leader role at Chipotle is a vital frontline position responsible for ensuring an outstanding customer experience through the delivery of safe, high-quality food and excellent service. This position involves maintaining an organized and well-functioning line, overseeing food safety compliance, and training the restaurant crew to uphold Chipotle's high standards. Service Leaders are expected to be active and present during their shifts, standing and working while clocked in aside from breaks, and to take initiative in assisting with various tasks as required. They play an important role in monitoring food quality, resolving customer issues, and supporting food safety protocols, including hand washing, glove changes, and temperature monitoring. Additionally, Service Leaders assist in crew management, including monitoring breaks and shift changes, conducting performance reviews, and developing future leaders. Administrative responsibilities such as cash handling, banking, office paperwork, and supply management also form part of this role. This position offers a base pay range from $19.35 to $21.53 per hour with eligibility for digital tips, alongside a comprehensive benefits package. Job Requirements

  • Have a high school diploma
  • have restaurant experience
  • be able to understand and articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy
  • have knowledge and experience of cash handling policies and procedures
  • have knowledge of food safety and health department matters
  • have familiarity with office paperwork
  • have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location

Job Duties

  • Making sure great tasting, high quality food is served
  • helping to resolve food quality issues
  • supporting food safety including hand washing and glove changes, monitoring time and temperature on the line, monitoring secondary shelf lives, and ensuring compliance with daily food safety checklists
  • helping to resolve customer incidents and ensuring positive customer experiences
  • monitoring crew breaks, shift changes, shift meetings, and line schedules
  • developing and cross-training all front of house crew
  • assisting with crew performance reviews
  • developing future Service Leaders
  • assisting with miscellaneous office administration duties such as banking, cash handling policies and responsibilities, and office paperwork
  • ensuring office equipment is in working order and ordering office supplies as necessary
  • ensuring proper quantity of supplies are available as needed
