Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a pioneering fast-casual restaurant chain dedicated to serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made with wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Operating restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle distinguishes itself as the only restaurant company of its size to own and operate all its locations in North America and Europe. With a passionate workforce committed to providing exceptional guest experiences, Chipotle has established itself as a leader and innovator in the food industry, continuously driving advancements in digital technology and sustainable business practices to enhance accessibility to quality food for all. The company embraces a people-first philosophy, fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture that values world-class teamwork and a shared mission to cultivate a better world through its Food With Integrity philosophy.
The Service Leader role at Chipotle is essential to sustaining a superior customer experience by maintaining safe food preparation standards and delivering high-quality food promptly. This position is fundamentally hands-on, requiring Service Leaders to remain on their feet active on the restaurant floor except during breaks. The Service Leader is responsible not only for ensuring that the restaurant crew is well trained to provide exceptional customer service but also for maintaining an organized and clean food preparation line with fully operational equipment. The leader’s responsibilities include overseeing food safety protocols such as hand washing, glove changes, time and temperature monitoring, and adherence to safety checklists. Furthermore, Service Leaders assist in addressing food quality concerns and resolving customer incidents, always aiming for positive customer interactions. Other duties involve managing crew breaks, shift schedules, and meetings, as well as providing cross-training and development opportunities to crew members to prepare future leaders. Additionally, the Service Leader supports administrative tasks including banking, cash handling, office paperwork, and supply management. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment while upholding Chipotle’s commitment to food quality and safety. With a competitive hourly base pay range of $19.35 to $21.53 alongside digital tips and a comprehensive benefits package, this role offers substantial professional growth opportunities in a company that leads the fast-food industry with integrity and innovation.
