As a major player in the food industry, Chipotle operates numerous restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Uniquely, Chipotle owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe, distinguishing itself as a company deeply invested in maintaining high standards of quality and consistency. With a passionate workforce eager to provide an excellent guest experience, Chipotle continues to innovate in fast-food service by championing sustainability, digital technology, and inclusive business practices. The brand is dedicated to making better food accessible to everyone while promoting a culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion at every level of its organization.
The Service Leader role at Chipotle represents a dynamic leadership opportunity within this innovative restaurant chain. The position is essential in maintaining an exceptional customer experience by ensuring safe and quality food preparation and service. Service Leaders play a critical part in overseeing the restaurant crew, ensuring they are well trained and able to deliver excellent customer service consistently. Beyond operational duties, these leaders maintain a clean, organized food line with properly functioning equipment, monitoring everything from hand washing and glove changes to food safety processes like temperature regulation and shelf life monitoring. Service Leaders are hands-on during their shifts, actively supporting their teams, managing crew schedules, and resolving food quality or customer service issues to foster a positive dining environment.
This role also involves administrative responsibilities including cash handling, banking, and office paperwork, ensuring that all supplies are adequately stocked and office equipment functions properly. Service Leaders contribute to the development and growth of the crew by assisting in performance reviews and training future leaders. The position is fast-paced and requires individuals to be on their feet and proactive during working hours, showcasing versatility to handle various tasks as needed.
Chipotle offers competitive compensation for the Service Leader role, with a base pay range between $18.55 and $20.65 per hour, plus eligibility for digital tips. The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including tuition assistance covering 100% of select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free food during shifts, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, and ample opportunities for career advancement, with many managers having started their journey as crew members.
Joining Chipotle means being part of a people-first company rooted in strong values and a clear mission to make nutritious and ethically sourced food accessible to all. The company is an equal opportunity employer that embraces diversity and inclusion and strives to provide reasonable accommodations to qualified applicants with disabilities. This role is an excellent career opportunity for individuals passionate about food service, leadership, and contributing to a sustainable and inclusive food industry future.
