Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a leading fast-casual restaurant chain that is dedicated to cultivating a better world by serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food. The company is renowned for its commitment to using wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Founded on the philosophy of Food With Integrity, Chipotle strives to provide a unique fast food experience that breaks away from traditional fast-food standards. With locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle stands out as the only restaurant company of its size that owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe. The company’s culture is deeply rooted in values such as diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability, making it an employer of choice for those passionate about shaping the future of the food industry.

The Service Leader role at Chipotle plays a critical part in maintaining and elevating the customer experience by ensuring that all food served is safe, high-quality, and meets Chipotle’s exacting standards. This role is responsible for overseeing the front-of-house team, ensuring that crew members are well-trained, following food safety protocols, and delivering excellent customer service. Service Leaders keep the restaurant environment clean and organized, manage equipment functionality, and support operational efficiency by proactively identifying tasks that need attention when the restaurant is less busy. This position requires an individual who is active and on their feet throughout their shift unless on break, capable of multitasking, and skillful in managing customer interactions to resolve any issues promptly.

Service Leaders also play a significant role in the development and mentoring of crew members by conducting cross-training and performance reviews and preparing future leaders within the organization. In addition to direct food service responsibilities, Service Leaders assist with office administration tasks such as cash handling, banking, maintaining office supplies, and ensuring that the administrative side of the restaurant runs smoothly. This is a vital leadership position that supports both the operational and cultural goals of Chipotle by fostering an inclusive, supportive work environment and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and guest satisfaction.

Chipotle offers a competitive salary range for the Service Leader position, typically between $22.85 and $25.44 per hour, in addition to digital tips and a comprehensive benefits package. The company values its employees by providing tuition assistance, free food, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, and numerous opportunities for advancement within the company, with 80% of managers starting their careers as crew members. This opportunity at Chipotle is ideal for individuals looking to be part of a purpose-driven company committed to making better food accessible to everyone while fostering professional growth and development.
