Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a fast-casual restaurant chain that has revolutionized the fast-food industry by delivering responsibly sourced, classically cooked food made from real, wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Since its inception, Chipotle has remained passionate about fostering a better world through sustainable business practices, innovative technology, and digital advancements while ensuring its food remains accessible to everyone. The company operates restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, maintaining control by owning and operating all its locations in North America and Europe. As a people-first company, Chipotle values diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levels, cultivating an inclusive work environment that champions talented individuals who share their mission and values.

The Service Leader role at Chipotle is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food quality and customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Service Leaders play a crucial role in maintaining a positive guest experience by ensuring that safe, high-quality food is prepared and served efficiently while supervising and training restaurant crew members to uphold company standards. This role requires someone who thrives on being active and engaged on the restaurant floor, overseeing operations such as food safety, crew scheduling, and customer interactions. The Service Leader is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization on the service line, monitoring equipment function, and proactively managing tasks to support a smooth-running operation.

Service Leaders also take on leadership duties by mentoring and developing front-of-house Crew members, assisting with performance reviews, and fostering future leaders to continue Chipotle’s mission. They handle various administrative tasks including cash handling, banking, supply management, and office maintenance to ensure the restaurant runs efficiently. Safety and compliance with food safety policies are paramount, with Service Leaders helping to enforce rigorous hygiene practices, monitoring food temperatures, and following all health department regulations. This role offers competitive pay ranging from $22.85 to $25.44 per hour plus digital tips, along with a robust benefits package that supports professional growth and personal well-being.

Working at Chipotle means joining a company that is dedicated not only to serving great food but also to supporting its employees with substantial benefits such as tuition assistance, free meals, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, and ample advancement opportunities. Around 80% of Chipotle’s managers began as crew members, demonstrating the company’s commitment to internal growth and career development. The Service Leader position is ideal for candidates with restaurant experience who value teamwork, quality service, and have a strong understanding of Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy, cash handling practices, and food safety requirements. This role is integral in maintaining the high standards that have made Chipotle a leader and innovator in the food industry, enabling both personal and professional growth within a vibrant and mission-driven company.
