The Service Leader is a vital role within Chipotle's operational team. This position is responsible for maintaining a positive customer experience by ensuring that safe, high-quality food is prepared and served efficiently. Service Leaders oversee the training and performance of restaurant crew members, making sure the team is knowledgeable, motivated, and delivering outstanding customer service. The role also involves managing the cleanliness and organization of the service line and ensuring all line equipment functions properly. Service Leaders must be proactive, remaining engaged and productive even during slower times by identifying and assisting with other necessary tasks.

Specific responsibilities include upholding Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy by ensuring adherence to food safety standards, including hand washing, glove changes, and monitoring food temperatures and shelf life. The Service Leader addresses and resolves any food quality issues and customer incidents, guaranteeing a positive dining experience. They support operational efficiency by monitoring crew breaks, coordinating shift changes and meetings, and managing line schedules. Developing and cross-training front-of-house crew members, assisting with performance reviews, and nurturing future Service Leaders are critical leadership components of this role.

In addition to direct team supervision, Service Leaders help with administrative duties such as banking, cash handling, office paperwork, ordering supplies, and maintaining office equipment. This position requires standing for extended periods while working and the ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of the work location.

This is a full-time role with a competitive base pay range between $22.85 and $25.44 per hour, supplemented by digital tips. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Making sure great tasting, high quality food is served
  • Helping to resolve food quality issues
  • Supporting food safety including hand washing, glove changes, monitoring time and temperature, monitoring secondary shelf lives, and ensuring daily food safety checklist and policies are followed
  • Helping to resolve customer incidents and ensuring positive customer experiences
  • Monitoring crew breaks, shift changes, shift meetings, and line schedules
  • Developing and cross training all front of house Crew
  • Assisting with Crew performance reviews
  • Developing future Service Leaders
  • Assisting with miscellaneous office administration duties such as banking, cash handling policies and responsibilities, and office paperwork
  • Ensuring office equipment remains in working order and ordering office supplies as necessary
  • Ensuring the proper quantity of supplies are available as needed
