Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a leading fast-casual restaurant chain renowned for its commitment to serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food with wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Established with a mission to cultivate a better world, Chipotle has grown to operate restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Uniquely, Chipotle owns and operates all of its North American and European restaurants, distinguishing itself in the industry by maintaining direct operational control to ensure quality and consistency. The company embraces innovation, leveraging digital technology, sustainable business practices, and a customer-focused approach as it reshapes the fast-food industry. Chipotle is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, making it a people-first employer that fosters a culture of respect and opportunity for all. It encourages candidates from varied backgrounds to apply and provides reasonable accommodations for qualified applicants with disabilities.

The Service Leader role at Chipotle is a critical position that ensures an exceptional customer experience through the preparation and service of safe, high-quality food. This role also includes training the restaurant crew to uphold service excellence and maintain operational standards. Service Leaders are actively engaged on the restaurant floor, overseeing line organization, functionality of line equipment, and adherence to food safety protocols. They are expected to be proactive in identifying and completing necessary tasks, supporting the team across different duties when not directly engaged in service. Key responsibilities span from managing food quality and customer relations to supporting crew schedules, shift meetings, and performance reviews. The role also manages administrative duties such as cash handling, banking, office equipment maintenance, and ensuring supply availability to facilitate smooth restaurant operations. Candidates for this position must understand and embody Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy and possess relevant restaurant experience. The employment offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including tuition assistance, free meals, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and holiday closures. Additionally, Chipotle provides growth opportunities with a proven track record that a majority of managers began their careers as crew members. Overall, this role is integral to maintaining Chipotle’s high service standards while contributing to its mission of making better food accessible to everyone.
