The role of a Service Lane Attendant is integral to the smooth operation of the service department. This position involves direct interaction with customers upon their arrival at the dealership, requiring excellent interpersonal skills and a trustworthy demeanor. The attendant is responsible for greeting customers, managing the flow of vehicles through the service lane, and ensuring that vehicles are correctly tagged and moved to designated parking areas. The ability to drive vehicles with both automatic and standard transmissions is essential, as is maintaining a clean driving record and an unrestricted driver’s license. Additional responsibilities include assisting service consultants during the write-up and delivery process, answering phone calls, and providing shuttle services for customers. The role demands physical activity such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects, and requires adherence to safety standards and company policies.

Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers dropping off vehicles for servicing
- install disposable covers and floor mats in the interior of vehicles to be serviced
- assist service consultants in the write-up and delivery process as needed
- assist in answering incoming phone calls
- shuttle customers to and from their desired locations
- maintain daily shuttle log
- assist in the rental/loaner department as needed
- run miscellaneous errands as needed
- perform other tasks as assigned by management
- adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
- perform other duties as assigned
