With multiple locations across the country, Nordstrom Rack focuses on creating an enjoyable and efficient shopping experience by combining great value with a superior customer-focused approach. The team members at Nordstrom Rack play a crucial role in maintaining the store environment, assisting customers, and helping to drive sales through effective merchandising and service.
The role of a Nordstrom Rack team member is both diverse and rewarding, offering opportunities in various departments such as Sales, Cashier, Stock Support, and Fulfillment. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a high-energy setting and are passionate about helping customers find the products they want in a timely and friendly manner. Working at Nordstrom Rack means becoming part of a collaborative team that values accountability, initiative, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
Sales and Cashier roles involve direct customer interactions, including managing fitting rooms, facilitating transactions, and promoting customer loyalty programs such as Nordstrom Rewards. Team members in these roles ensure the sales floor remains attractive and inviting by performing tasks like sorting clothing, re-merchandising, and maintaining inventory accuracy. They also handle customer concerns with professionalism and work efficiently with store technology to support daily operations.
Stock Support and Fulfillment roles focus more on behind-the-scenes responsibilities that keep the store running smoothly. These duties include receiving and unloading shipments, replenishing merchandise on the sales floor, fulfilling online orders, and maintaining organized stockrooms. These positions require attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team to prepare customer orders accurately and on time. Physical stamina is important in these roles, as lifting merchandise up to 50 pounds may occasionally be necessary.
Nordstrom Rack emphasizes flexible scheduling and values the contributions of team members who take ownership of their tasks and demonstrate effective communication. Employees are encouraged to collaborate and support each other to ensure a seamless customer experience and operational efficiency.
This position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $18.15 to $18.85, with potential eligibility for performance-based bonuses. Benefits include comprehensive medical, vision, dental, and life insurance options, as well as retirement plans like 401(k), paid time off, holidays, and employee merchandise discounts. Nordstrom Rack also provides Employee Assistance Program resources to support the well-being of its team members.
By joining Nordstrom Rack, individuals have the opportunity to be part of an established retail brand that values its employees and prioritizes growth and development within a rewarding work culture. Whether in a customer-facing sales role or a supportive stock position, team members contribute significantly to delivering a positive shopping experience that keeps customers coming back.
