The role of Service Drive Porter at Land Rover Hinsdale is integral to ensuring an efficient and pleasant service experience for customers. The Service Drive Porter is responsible for managing the flow of vehicles through the service drive, moving cars as needed to accommodate incoming vehicles and support the overall service process. This position requires a candidate who is passionate about Land Rover automobiles and is eager to grow their career within the dealership. The porter assists the Concierge team by greeting customers, checking vehicles in, and supporting daily operational tasks like printing appointment sheets and vehicle history reports.
Working closely with the Concierge and shop foremen, the Service Drive Porter aims to get as many vehicles on the Active Reception rack as possible, facilitating swift and smooth workflow. This role is a stepping stone toward advancement opportunities within the dealership, including positions such as Concierge and Service Advisor. Job Duties
- Ensures the efficient flow of vehicles through the service drive by moving cars as needed to make room for more cars
- Moves vehicles from the service drive to the shop or parking lot after vehicles are checked in
- Promptly pulls up customer vehicles when called by the Cashier or management on the radio
- Transports vehicles requiring a car wash to the car wash area
- Assists the Concierge with greeting customers and checking in vehicles
- Assists in printing appointment sheets, vehicle history, and tags for the following day's appointments
- Works with concierge and shop foremen to get as many cars as possible on the Active Reception rack
