The Service Consultant role at Lincoln North Miami plays a vital part in the service department, acting as the first point of contact for customers entering the service drive. This position is designed for individuals who excel in delivering outstanding customer service and possess the ability to accurately assess and communicate the service requirements of customers’ vehicles. Service Consultants ensure efficient appointment scheduling, manage customer concerns swiftly and tactfully, and coordinate communication between customers, service technicians, and management.

This full-time position involves administrative duties such as maintaining service records, managing work orders, and processing payments securely and promptly. The Service Consultant is responsible for educating customers about the various service options, available menu items, and promotional offers while striving to upsell relevant parts and services to meet the customers’ vehicle care needs. Furthermore, consultants oversee the smooth operation of the customer waiting area, ensuring that amenities are well stocked and the environment remains comfortable and pleasant.

By maintaining up-to-date knowledge of service procedures, vehicle history, and warranty coverage, the Service Consultant enhances overall customer satisfaction and contributes to sustaining the dealership’s reputation for excellence. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience
  • Ability to read and write with reasonable spelling skills
  • Effective communication skills for responding to management, employees, and customers
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations of discounts and taxes
  • Problem solving skills for customer issues and concerns
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to operate a computer
  • Ability to type
  • Ability to use a calculator
  • Ability to keep organized files and documents

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or 1 year of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read, write, reasonable spelling skills for writing repair orders and communicating professionally with email
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees and customers
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, taxes, and percentages
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, tasks, or handle any customer situation
  • Ability to apply creative problem solving for any customer issue or concern and decide if further escalation is necessary
  • Valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Maintain customer relations with all existing and future clients
  • Attempt to resolve any customer concerns or seek the appropriate management contact to assist
  • Plan and coordinate known appointments that will be arriving the next day
  • Set appointments using the Xtime center and maintain the service reservations
  • Answer service calls and follow up in a timely manner
  • Review all monthly specials, learn current service menus and review sublet vendor services
  • Maintain department and customers service files and review for accuracy before sending to final scanning
