The Service Center Coordinator role plays a critical part in maintaining and enhancing service center operations across Balfour Beatty Communities. This position is focused on ensuring work order compliance by managing, monitoring, and reviewing work order transactions for accuracy and adherence to company policies. The coordinator supports onsite teams by coordinating work order entries, approvals, and escalations while safeguarding data integrity in the Yardi system. Additionally, the role involves providing quality assurance, training, and detailed reporting to promote continuous improvement in service center processes.
As a key liaison between regional leadership, onsite teams, and operational assurance units, the Service Center Coordinator facilitates efficient communication and ensures compliance with company standards. Responsibilities include correcting work order discrepancies, supporting purchase order processes, tracking completion statuses, and training teams on proper work order management. The position demands strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills to maintain excellence, accuracy, and transparency in work order management. This role also contributes to the development of best practices and process improvements, enhancing the overall efficiency and accuracy of work order processing.
Physical demands typical of this job include sitting and standing for clerical work and the ability to lift and move equipment and supplies weighing between 25 and 50 pounds. - minimum of two years of customer service and administrative experience
- relevant industry and leadership experience preferred
- ability to travel up to 15 percent
- strong data entry and documentation skills with high attention to detail
- proficiency with outlook, excel and word
- existing yardi knowledge is a bonus

Job Duties
- review and correct work order discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness
- review and input all required documentation for vendor and internal work orders prior to updating the work order to tech completed status
- provide feedback to leadership on discrepancies
- assist in assigning work orders to maintenance technicians/vendors in accordance with skills/abilities/specialties
- monitor that each technician is scheduled with a full day of work
- conduct daily reviews of open work orders to verify data accuracy, status updates, and compliance with work order management policies
- assist with correcting work order discrepancies identified by the work order analyst team ensuring compliance with work order management policies
