Job Description

Desert Diamond Casino is a premier gaming and hospitality establishment known for delivering exceptional entertainment and guest experiences in a vibrant casino environment. As a prominent player in the hospitality industry, the casino combines the thrill of gaming with excellent food and beverage services to create a dynamic atmosphere for visitors. Utilizing a team-oriented approach, Desert Diamond Casino emphasizes service quality, guest satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. The establishment prides itself on a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that aligns with tribal, city, state, and federal standards. Desert Diamond Casino is committed to fostering a professional work culture where employees are encouraged to grow and excel in their roles.

The bartender role at Desert Diamond Casino Food & Beverage department is a vital frontline position responsible for providing efficient and courteous beverage services to guests. Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Supervisor, this role requires delivering knowledgeable, safe drink service with an upbeat and positive personality that enhances guest relations. The bartender operates within a restaurant setting, preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while also supporting food service at the bar when applicable. Extensive knowledge of Title 4 (Arizona liquor law) and compliance with all TOGE (Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise) alcohol training and internal controls are critical components of this role.

In this position, bartenders must demonstrate a strong knowledge of spirits, wines, champagnes, and cocktail recipes to meet diverse guest preferences. Following proper measurements for drink prices and maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitized workspace is essential. Bartenders are expected to monitor guest alcohol consumption to prevent intoxication and ensure all legal drinking regulations are upheld. The role also involves training new team members and bar backs, managing cash transactions accurately, and operating the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently.

Moreover, the bartender acts as a customer service ambassador, greeting guests warmly, anticipating their needs, and responding promptly to requests. This position demands excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, often noisy environment with exposure to second-hand smoke. Flexibility to work evenings, graveyards, holidays, and weekends is required to meet the needs of the casino’s operating hours. Candidates typically need a high school diploma or GED, bartending experience, and the ability to pass background investigations, drug screens, and gambling license requirements.

As a key player in a busy bar and casino environment, the bartender contributes significantly to the overall guest experience and to the seamless service delivery across departments. Maintaining Desert Diamond Casino’s 'On Brand' attitude and spirit of service standards is expected at all times. This opportunity offers a challenging yet rewarding work environment where motivated and enthusiastic individuals can thrive and grow their hospitality careers while upholding the highest standards of service and compliance.
