Job Description
Cornerstone Restaurant Group (CRG) is a distinguished hospitality company known for its innovative approach to dining and dedication to creating exceptional experiences. Based in the bustling Fulton Market district, CRG has carved a niche in the competitive restaurant industry by combining vibrant atmospheres with high-quality food and service standards. CRG prides itself on fostering a collaborative work environment where team members can thrive and guests can enjoy memorable meals.
Dimmi Dimmi, CRG's newest restaurant, is located in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. This restaurant is a creative reimagining of the classic Italian neighborhood eatery, offering a modern twist on beloved red-sauce staples, alongside classic cocktails and a warm, buzzing vibe. Dimmi Dimmi features 75 seats indoors and expands with 40 additional seats during patio season, providing a lively setting that blends timeless tradition with contemporary energy. The restaurant’s culinary vision is driven by Executive Chef Matthew Eckfeld, whose rich background includes experience at prestigious Italian dining destinations such as New York's celebrated Carbone and other renowned Major Food Group establishments. The dessert program is crafted under the guidance of Casey Doody, a French Pastry School alum and former Director of Pastry at the acclaimed Boka Group, ensuring an outstanding pastry experience.
The Service Assistant position at Dimmi Dimmi offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. This role is crucial for supporting and enhancing the operations of the restaurant, spanning bar service, dining room assistance, and carryout coordination. The Service Assistant will help maintain the smooth flow of the restaurant by managing tasks such as restocking, polishing glassware and silverware, assisting with food orders, and ensuring guest needs are met promptly and courteously.
The position promises a competitive starting wage of $18 per hour plus tips, which can average an additional $10 to $14 per hour, making it a well-compensated role within the hospitality sector. Benefits include generous paid vacation, paid sick leave, premium holiday pay, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options for those who qualify, and additional perks such as dining discounts, family meals, and voluntary insurance plans. This role also offers an excellent environment for individuals who wish to grow their careers, participate in a supportive team culture, and contribute to an exciting new chapter in CRG's culinary story.
Joining Dimmi Dimmi means becoming a valued part of a team that deeply appreciates collaboration, warmth, and professionalism in serving guests. The Service Assistant role is ideal for those who are motivated by hospitality, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a vibrant restaurant where every service moment counts.
