Job Description

Union Joints is a celebrated independent hospitality group with nearly three decades of experience operating some of Michigan's most iconic and original dining establishments. With a portfolio that includes the Clarkston Union, Union General, Union Woodshop, Vinsetta Garage, Fenton Fire Hall, Honcho, Gran Castor, Bunkhouse, Union Assembly, Mom's Spaghetti, and Union Rec, Union Joints has built a reputation for crafting unique, thoughtful, and welcoming environments that blend culinary excellence with community spirit. Their latest venture, Lincoln Yard and Little Yard, is located in Birmingham's vibrant Rail District and represents a modern, casual dining concept housed in a repurposed former school bus garage. This project exemplifies Union Joints' dedication to innovation and their commitment to preserving local character and heritage through adaptive reuse of historic sites.

The opportunity at Lincoln Yard and Little Yard is for an enthusiastic and dedicated team member to join a crew that prides itself on inclusivity, creativity, and a game-for-anything attitude. The position being offered focuses on supporting the restaurant floor by efficiently clearing and preparing tables to ensure a seamless guest experience. This role is crucial in maintaining the restaurant's upbeat and efficient pace, helping to create a pleasant dining atmosphere that reflects the brand's hospitality philosophy.

The role of a Busser at Lincoln Yard and Little Yard requires physical stamina, strong communication skills, and a customer-first mindset. You'll be responsible for removing used dishes and tableware promptly and preparing the tables to the high standards expected by Union Joints. Your work not only keeps the front of house looking tidy and welcoming, but it also helps to expedite seating guests and supporting wait staff and kitchen teams. The job demands a proactive, collaborative spirit, where teamwork and a positive attitude are highly valued attributes.

Competitive pay packages accompany this position, including medical and supplemental insurance options, on-demand pay, referral bonuses, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off, underscoring Union Joints’ commitment to their employees' well-being and professional growth. Work schedules primarily include evenings and weekends, reflecting the dynamic nature of the restaurant industry. This role is ideal for those who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy being part of a community-focused hospitality team dedicated to delivering memorable dining experiences while cultivating a family-like atmosphere among staff and guests alike.
