Job Description
TBC Corporation has been a prominent force in the mobility industry for over 70 years, establishing itself as one of North America’s largest marketers and distributors of automotive replacement tires through extensive wholesale operations. Headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, TBC has built a robust network encompassing nearly 470 franchised tire and automotive service centers under the prestigious Big O Tires brand. With a strong revenue base of $5 billion and a workforce exceeding 3,000 employees across the U.S. and Mexico, TBC specializes in marketing a range of proprietary tire brands designed for passenger vehicles, commercial trucks, farms, and specialty tire needs. The company’s foundation is deeply rooted in its core values: Integrity, Teamwork, People-Focused culture, Accountability, and a commitment to Leave Everything Better, all aimed at fostering a respectful, collaborative, and inclusive workplace.
The role of Service and Delivery Driver at TBC Corporation is more than just a job – it offers a full-time career opportunity with a respected international leader in the tire and automotive service industry. Starting pay for this position ranges from $21.00 to $23.00 per hour, dependent on location and experience, reflecting TBC’s commitment to competitive compensation. Service and Delivery Drivers play an essential role in ensuring customer satisfaction by safely and professionally delivering products using company vehicles. Beyond driving, they assist in the maintenance and organization of warehouse inventory, supporting the smooth operation of logistics and supply chain activities.
As a Service and Delivery Driver, the individual is expected to operate company vehicles following strict safety policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including maintaining hours of service compliance. Responsibilities include picking, staging, and loading trucks, adhering to predetermined delivery routes, and securely handling cash or checks when applicable in line with company Cash On Delivery (COD) policies. Maintaining a clean and safe vehicle, performing material handling operations, and adhering to company standards of uniform cleanliness are also fundamental aspects of the role.
The position emphasizes a safety-first mindset, requiring candidates to have at least one year of delivery or box truck experience, a clean driving record with no at-fault accidents, and the capability to maintain a valid driver’s license and DOT certification. Physical requirements such as the ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively and to occasionally lift more than 50 pounds highlight the physically active nature of this role.
TBC Corporation is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages personal and professional growth. This career opportunity is designed with potential advancement paths in mind, offering generous benefits including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid short-term disability, and subsidized long-term disability coverage. Additional perks like life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and discounted tire purchasing contribute to a well-rounded employee package.
Critical competencies expected from Service and Delivery Drivers include a strategic mindset, action orientation, innovative thinking, collaborative spirit, customer-centric focus, talent development, accountability, engagement-driving ability, strong communication skills, trustworthiness, and change management capabilities. TBC Corporation not only looks for skilled drivers but individuals who actively contribute to the company’s mission and culture, striving to make a meaningful impact in every aspect of their work.
This job is an excellent fit for candidates seeking stability, competitive wages, and career progression in a company that prioritizes its people and fosters a positive and safety-conscious work environment, making it more than just a delivery position but a long-term career choice.
