The Service and Delivery Driver is a vital role within the company, responsible for providing superior customer service by delivering automotive tires and related products efficiently and safely using company vehicles. Drivers will also assist with warehouse duties such as inventory maintenance and organization. This hybrid responsibility ensures a well-rounded job experience, combining driving with essential warehouse operations.
Successful candidates will operate vehicles according to strict safety and DOT regulations, adhering to company and legal standards in every delivery. Adherence to route sequencing, proper handling of cash on delivery (COD) payments, and maintaining a clean, safe vehicle and work area are key elements of daily responsibility. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver's license
- minimum 1 year delivery or driving experience
- clean driving record
- ability to pass background check and drug screening
- ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs repetitively
- ability to stand, bend, twist and perform physical tasks
- must be 21 years or older
- able to obtain and maintain DOT certification
- compliance with DOT regulations
- willingness to wear provided uniform
- reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- Safety 1st mentality
- 1+ years of experience, box truck experience and/or delivery experience preferred
- 1+ years of no at-fault accidents
- clean MVR
- maintain a current driver's license relevant to the types/classes of vehicles driven during company business
- must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT certificate while operating an NTW vehicle
- must be 21 years or older
- ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively while bending and twisting and ability to occasionally lift more than 50lbs
- complete driver vehicle inspection reports as required by company policy and DOT regulations
- abide by all federal, state, and local laws
- must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
Job Duties
- Operate company vehicles in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner within TBC policies
- pick, stage and load trucks as requested
- understand and adhere to DOT regulations including hours of service requirements
- maintain a thorough knowledge of products and operating procedures
- adhere to pre-determined route sequencing when delivering tires/equipment to customers
- securely handle COD (cash or check) when applicable as required per company COD policy
- maintain a clean, safe and secure vehicle and work area
- maintain exceptional customer service based on People Focused values
- come to work in a clean and laundered uniform that is provided by NTW
- operate various MHE (Material Handling Equipment) in a safe and efficient manner as needed
- perform other duties as requested or needed
