The Service Advisor/Writer role at Campers Inn RV is a vital position that bridges the gap between customers and the service department. This individual works directly with customers to schedule service appointments, communicates any additional service recommendations, and ensures a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the service process. The Service Advisor/Writer listens carefully to customers' descriptions of their RV issues and troubleshoots by verifying warranty and service contracts to provide accurate service coverage explanations. The individual estimates and prepares repair orders by calculating costs related to materials, labor, and applicable deductibles. Regular communication with the customer regarding vehicle status during servicing is essential to maintain transparency and trust. This role demands excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably at least one year of experience in RV service. The position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and demands physical capabilities such as lifting up to 50 pounds and safely handling chemicals. Job Duties

  • Identifies RV problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms
  • verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers
  • explaining provisions and exclusions
  • develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor
  • calculating customer's payment, including deductibles
  • prepares repair orders
  • handles customer complaints and maintains high customer satisfaction standards
  • periodically checks on the progress of the vehicle during servicing and contacts the customer as needed to keep them up to date with their RV's status
