The Server/Waitstaff position at Glenaire is an essential role aimed at providing excellent dining experiences to residents living in apartments and cottages. This role requires an individual who is not only skilled in customer service but also passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of seniors. Servers are responsible for welcoming and seating guests, taking and delivering food orders accurately, and communicating effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service. Additionally, they should be knowledgeable about the menu to offer recommendations and upsell items such as appetizers, desserts, or drinks. This position demands attentiveness, reliability, and a caring approach to help maintain the high standards of service that Glenaire is known for.

The role requires availability to work weekends and includes duties such as performing opening and closing tasks, resetting tables, assisting in food preparation, and maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas. Candidates must have the ability to multitask efficiently, have good memory skills for the menu offerings, and be comfortable delivering food directly to residents' apartments and cottages. Job Duties

  • Serve food to assigned tables
  • deliver food orders to apartments and cottages
  • perform opening and closing duties as assigned
  • reset tables for next guest
  • periodically prepare simple food items such as salads and desserts
  • assist in the preparation of cold food items
  • clean assigned areas daily
