Job Requirements

  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to work on feet for extended hours
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in bar or restaurant service preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient in operating point-of-sale computer systems
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and identification verification
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
  • Energetic and friendly demeanor
  • Strong math and reading skills for accurate transactions
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Job Duties

  • Cheerfully and sincerely greet each customer when making first contact
  • Ensure the safe and controlled service of all alcoholic beverages by checking identification of customers who appear 30 years old or younger
  • Make continual observations of customer behavior to identify signs of intoxication and report to management immediately
  • Properly and promptly ring all food and beverage orders on the computer register
  • Ensure accurate and efficient sales transactions with a good knowledge of payment methods and the computer terminal
  • Maintain a full understanding and correct application of the employee discount program
  • Stock and continually restock the server station with condiments, cups, mugs, bread, butter, napkins, and beverages
  • Continually refill all tabletop condiment holders and napkin dispensers
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by wiping and spraying work surfaces
  • Pre-buss guest tables and ensure all dishes, glassware, silverware, and trash are collected appropriately
  • Reconcile paperwork with the manager at the end of each shift
  • Close down the server section by sweeping, refilling salt, pepper, and sugar holders, wiping tables and chairs, and placing napkin holders
  • Report any irregularities regarding guest behavior, food concerns, employee relations, or equipment problems to management
  • Develop good working relationships with coworkers to ensure total guest satisfaction
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
