Job Requirements

  • Six months previous food server experience
  • Effective communication in English, both verbal and written
  • Present a neat and professional appearance
  • Ability to interact with guests, public and co-workers
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Physical ability to move throughout the dining room
  • Ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum six months previous food server experience
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to present a neat and professional appearance
  • Experience working collaboratively with team members
  • Knowledge of menu items and specials
  • Basic proficiency in operating a POS system
  • Customer service skills focused on guest satisfaction

Job Duties

  • Acknowledge customer immediately with a smile
  • Inform guests of any specials and have a full understanding of the menu to answer any questions
  • Take beverage order and serve in timely manner
  • Ensure food order is correct before ringing into pos and before serving the guests
  • Monitor tables closely and be attentive to guests' needs
  • Clear empty plates and glassware from tables and place quickly in dish pit
  • Prepare sections and side stations
  • Make sure tables are cleaned, aligned, and properly set throughout shift and station is clean and organized throughout shift
  • Prepare napkins that are uniform and up to company specifications
  • Perform assigned side work such as wiping and organizing fridges and station areas, restocking dry goods or teas, coffee, etc., folding napkins, refilling jelly and sugar caddies
  • Make sure all areas of the dining room are clean and free of debris
  • Provide additional items to customers to maximize check average, tip percentage, and company profits
  • Maintain appropriate grooming and uniform at all times
  • Follow all 4 steps of the spotlight behavior pamphlet
  • Keep hutches and pos stations clean, tidy, organized, and sanitized
