Job Description

St. Ann's Community is a respected provider of independent living and senior care services located on the Webster Campus. Known for its dedication to caring for the most important people on earth—its residents and participants—St. Ann's Community offers an environment that fosters dignity, respect, and quality of life for seniors. St. Ann's emphasizes compassionate care, professional growth, and a supportive workplace culture. This wellness-focused independent living community blends comfort and safety with engaging and respectful service to deliver an outstanding residential experience. The organization prioritizes equal employment opportunities and follows a strong Affirmative Action Program to ensure a diverse and inclusive workplace free from discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected categories.

The open role at St. Ann's Community is for per diem Wait Staff, also known as Servers, at Cherry Ridge Independent Living on the Webster Campus. This position is integral to creating a warm, friendly dining atmosphere that caters specifically to elderly residents and program participants. Serving meals entails more than simply delivering food; it requires attentiveness, excellent communication skills, and a genuine respect for the residents’ dining experience and rights. To succeed in this role, the candidate must demonstrate professionalism in table service, timely delivery of full course meals, and maintain cleanliness and proper setup of dining areas according to established standards.

Working primarily in the late afternoon to early evening shift from 4pm to 7pm on weekdays, the per diem Server position offers flexibility and competitive pay ranging from $16.00 to $19.65 per hour. The role also includes important benefits such as paid sick leave, supporting the well-being of staff working in this vital capacity. Servers act as a key link between residents and kitchen staff by accurately taking orders and ensuring proper meal preparation to minimize waste and enhance satisfaction. In addition to meal service, the Server monitors resident behavior and health-related concerns, communicating effectively with the hosting team and food service director to maintain resident safety and service quality.

This position is suited for individuals who thrive in a community-focused setting, enjoy working with seniors, and possess a positive, respectful attitude. The Server is expected to attend all department meetings and remain informed of operational notes, ensuring a coordinated effort among food service staff to uphold exceptional quality assurance standards. With a focus on customer service excellence, Servers at St. Ann's Community play a crucial role in enriching the dining experience and supporting the overall mission of care, kindness, and community connection.

St. Ann's Community invites enthusiastic, caring professionals with prior customer service experience to apply and join in making a meaningful difference in the lives of senior residents. The employment arrangement is per diem, offering hours that suit those seeking flexibility, while receiving valuable experience in supportive senior living care. This opportunity enables new and returning employees alike to contribute to a reputable, mission-driven organization that values staff contributions and fosters career growth opportunities in a compassionate work environment.
