As a Server, you will engage with guests warmly, guiding them through their dining experience with professionalism and enthusiasm. Your responsibilities will include taking and accurately inputting food and beverage orders using POS systems like Toast, offering informed menu suggestions including specialty sushi and omakase items, and upselling to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize sales. You will provide timely service while maintaining strict food handling and sanitation standards to ensure safety and quality. In addition to guest service, you will be involved in managing guest relations by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly to uphold a positive dining atmosphere.
Support of kitchen operations is also a vital aspect of this role, involving assisting with food preparation, bussing tables, and facilitating seamless service flow. The ability to handle cash transactions accurately, using POS systems for calculations and billing, is essential. Previous experience in Japanese dining or omakase settings is preferred, along with strong customer service skills and familiarity with reservation and order management platforms such as Resy.
