This role also carries the responsibility of handling transactions accurately following established company cash handling policies and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements connected to alcohol service, including age verification and monitoring for intoxication. The Food Server's duties extend to maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the dining and service areas, upholding the restaurant's professional image through proper uniform and conduct, and addressing guest concerns promptly to maintain satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a full service restaurant or similar
  • Food Safety Certification required
  • BASSET Certification required
  • Ability to focus on guest needs
  • Preferred POS system experience
  • Preferred leadership experience

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience working as a food server in a full service restaurant concept or experience in full service restaurant business
  • Food Safety Certification
  • BASSET Certification
  • Ability to demonstrate focus on guest needs
  • Ability to use POS systems preferred
  • Leadership experience in the restaurant industry preferred

Job Duties

  • Warmly greets guests after seating within the established company standard
  • Serve guests per established steps of service
  • Assist other servers and team members as needed
  • Answer guest questions and suggest food and drink offerings
  • Follow company procedures for guest age verification for alcohol sales
  • Ensure all food and beverages meet quality and presentation standards
  • Complete pre-shift, shift, and post-shift set-up, prep, cleaning, and stocking
  • Alert management to suspected intoxication and guest safety concerns
  • Maintain knowledge of restaurant operations and policies
  • Resolve guest complaints effectively
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of dining and service areas
  • Uphold harassment, safety, and security standards
  • Maintain professional restaurant image
  • Complete assigned cleaning projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
