The role of Server in the Clubhouse Dining at Fairlawn Country Club is a critical position for maintaining the high standard of hospitality that members expect. Servers are responsible for delivering top-quality service and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for members and their guests. This position demands a high level of attentiveness, courtesy, and efficiency while managing multiple tables in a fast-paced environment. Servers greet guests promptly upon seating, present food and wine menus, answer any questions with knowledgeable and friendly communication, and ensure orders are accurately taken and delivered in a timely manner. The Server plays an essential role in creating a warm dining ambiance by clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables seamlessly to maintain an inviting environment throughout meal service. Furthermore, this role requires strict adherence to all local and state laws regarding the service of alcoholic beverages, as well as following the club’s own policies and procedures to ensure a safe and responsible environment. This role involves working closely with the A la Carte Manager and Manager on Duty, taking on additional duties as assigned, and contributing to the overall success of the dining operations. This is a part-time or full-time role starting at an hourly wage of $16.00, with potential wage increases after successful service milestones at 30, 60, and 90 days. Serving experience at least one year and a minimum educational background of some high school level or equivalent is preferred for potential candidates. Job Requirements

  • Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach
  • Ability to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform continuous repetitive motions
  • Comfortable working in hot, humid and noisy environments

Job Qualifications

  • Some high school education or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum one year of serving experience preferred
  • Minimum one year of restaurant experience preferred
  • Ability to provide friendly and courteous service
  • Knowledge of food and beverage menus
  • Understanding of responsible alcohol service policies
  • Capability to handle multiple tables efficiently

Job Duties

  • Provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating
  • Distribute food and wine menus and answer questions
  • Efficiently serve food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Clear, clean and reset tables that have been vacated
  • Consistently follow local and state laws and the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages
  • Perform other appropriate duties assigned by the A la Carte Manager or Manager on Duty
