The Server role is an essential position within the dining department and reports directly to the General Manager. This non-exempt position requires a passionate individual responsible for delivering a memorable dining experience by exceeding First Class Service standards. The Server interacts daily with guests through friendly and timely communication, offering menu knowledge, suggestive selling techniques, and prompt delivery of orders. This role requires proficiency in handling point of sale transactions, maintaining an organized and clean work environment, and adhering to all policies including responsible alcohol service and food safety regulations. The Server is expected to demonstrate strong customer service skills, quick problem-solving abilities to address guest concerns, and the flexibility to support other restaurant areas such as seating customers and assisting with documentation and cleanup. This position demands physical stamina to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that involve bending, reaching, and walking. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in the restaurant industry preferred
- Experience handling money and using a point of sale system
- Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays in a team-oriented environment
- Strong customer service and effective communication skills
- Self-motivated with strong prioritization and multitasking abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations
- Clear and concise communication with Team Members, Managers, and Guests
- Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics

Job Duties
- Exceed First Class Service standards and behavior with every guest, business partner and peers
- Treat guest and peers in accordance with the core values of the company
- Present the menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service
- Observe guests to respond to any additional requests and determine when meal has been completed
- Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant's menu and products
- Totals bill accepts payment following established guidelines
- Process all point of sale transactions in a quick, efficient manner while complying with the company's Cash Handling and Loss Prevention Standard Operating Procedures
- Know all specials on a shift by shift basis as well as all liquor, beer, and wine products and all menu items and desserts
- Build guest loyalty and enhance selling skills through the use of available training materials
- Maintain clean organized work environment
- Support other areas of the restaurant as requested, such as seating customers, answering telephones, stock work, cleanup and documentation
- Responds appropriately to guest concerns
- Complete all side work duties which may include sweeping and mopping
- Maintain current adult beverage certification. Ensure responsible service of alcohol
- Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws and regulation including those relating to food safety
- Other duties as assigned
