Job Description

The Server / Guest Experience Ambassador position is based in Sarasota, FL, and offers both part-time and full-time employment opportunities. This role is integral to ensuring a seamless, enjoyable dining experience for residents, colleagues, and guests within a hospitality-focused environment. As a Server / Guest Experience Ambassador, the individual acts as the face of the dining services, responsibly delivering food and beverages while attending to specialty diets and customized meal requests. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the menu, with the ability to clearly communicate dish ingredients, preparation methods, and descriptions to residents, thereby enhancing their dining choices and satisfaction. Attention to detail is vital, as the ambassador must check dietary restrictions, preferences, and dislikes to ensure every guest receives care tailored to their needs. This position demands active engagement with residents to take orders accurately and provide attentive service that meets and exceeds expectations.

The role also involves various operational tasks that support the overall dining environment, including setting up and breaking down dining areas during scheduled meal periods, stocking service stations with necessary supplies, and maintaining cleanliness through duties like sweeping, mopping, and clearing tables. The ambassador may assist culinary staff by washing equipment or supporting preparation stations, ensuring the smooth flow of service.

Working as a Server / Guest Experience Ambassador involves operating in a dynamic kitchen setting that requires interaction with equipment such as ovens, stoves, dishwashers, slicers, coffee machines, steamers, mixers, and knives. The environment can be warm and noisy, and the employee must be physically capable of standing for long periods, lifting items up to 40 pounds, and performing activities such as reaching, bending, kneeling, and stooping. Manual dexterity, good auditory and visual abilities, and the capacity to follow both written and oral instructions are essential for success in this role.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $16.00 to $18.00, paid weekly via direct deposit. Job Duties

  • Cascade a spirit of hospitality in all dealings with residents, colleagues and guests
  • Lead service of food or beverages to residents and prepare or serve specialty diets and dishes as required
  • Engage with residents to obtain desired orders for food or beverages while articulating daily menu offerings
  • Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods
  • Ensure residents are satisfied with all aspects of service and communicate any customer service issues with the supervisor
  • Check residents diets, likes and dislikes to ensure requirements are satisfied
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of all scheduled meal periods
  • Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens
  • Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, tidying service station, clearing tables, and taking out trash
  • Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment as needed
  • Assist culinary staff at various stations as directed
  • Provide excellent customer service by being attentive, approachable, greeting and thanking customers
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
