With a commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth, PSL invests in its workforce through comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities. This ensures that both residents and staff experience a thriving and nurturing atmosphere.
The Server role at PSL is integral to the daily operations within the senior living community. This role involves directly interacting with residents, preparing and serving food, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in dining areas. Servers play a crucial part in the residents' overall dining experience, helping to provide comfort, companionship, and attentive service that aligns with PSL's mission to celebrate and enhance all lives. Offering a starting wage of $14.50 to $15.00 per hour, and flexible shifts that accommodate various schedules, this position caters to both full-time and part-time applicants who possess a passion for serving seniors.
Working as a Server at PSL means being part of a team that values teamwork, respect, and dedication. Employees enjoy numerous perks including same-day pay options, medical, dental, and vision benefits for full-time staff, 401K with matching contributions for all employees, paid time off, and employee assistance programs. Additionally, servers benefit from access to travel, restaurant, and retail discounts, and unique incentives such as unlimited referral bonuses up to $2,000. Career development is a priority, with available mentorship programs and continuing education reimbursement, all fostering a culture of growth and advancement. The company also supports employees during challenging times through the PSL Cares Program, providing financial assistance for health-related needs, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to employee well-being.
This role requires strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and staff. Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities are essential as servers must manage their responsibilities efficiently within scheduled timeframes. Experience in hospitality, full-service, or senior living environments is preferred, though passion and dedication to serving seniors are equally important. The Server is responsible not only for serving food but also for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of food service and dining areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents.
