Job Description

Arrow Senior Living is a distinguished senior living management company that oversees a diverse portfolio of communities providing senior care across five states including Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, and Indiana. With 25 properties and a dedicated workforce of nearly 1,400 employees, Arrow Senior Living is committed to delivering exceptional care and quality of life to its residents through its spectrum of services such as independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The company is known for its inclusive workplace culture, embracing diversity regardless of race, color, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or handicap, in compliance with state and federal laws. Arrow Senior Living prioritizes core values that foster a family-like environment not only for the residents but also its employees. This commitment to values-driven service has ensured a supportive and rewarding work atmosphere, promoting from within and providing ample opportunities for career growth.

The position available at Cedar Trails Senior Living, a facility managed by Arrow Senior Living located in Freeburg, Illinois, is for a Server/Cook role. This is a part-time position with a competitive starting wage ranging from $19.25 to $28.50 per hour, accommodating shifts on Wednesday through Saturday from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The role at Cedar Trails Senior Living involves multiple responsibilities designed to enhance the dining experience of residents. Candidates will take on the role of a gracious host by greeting residents warmly and creating a welcoming, engaging atmosphere in the dining room. The Server/Cook will also be responsible for meal preparation and set-up duties, ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of meal services. Given the nature of the senior living environment, meticulous cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area are crucial, encompassing tasks such as bussing tables and sweeping floors. This role demands an active and energetic individual who can perform physical duties including walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as assisting residents with mobility and safety requirements.

Beyond the core job responsibilities, the employer values employee well-being and provides a range of benefits including company-matched 401(k), health insurance options, disability insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more. They also encourage a culture of recognition through weekly employee appreciation programs and referral incentives. Regular complimentary meals during shifts and options for daily pay or direct deposit further exemplify the company’s commitment to employee satisfaction. This role is ideal for those who have a genuine passion for senior care and wish to contribute positively to the lives of elderly residents within a supportive and growth-oriented company environment.
