Job Description

The role being offered is a Food and Beverage Server position responsible for a variety of essential duties involving direct interaction with guests. Under the guidance of the Restaurant Services Supervisor, the server will obtain guest orders, ensure the responsible service of alcoholic beverages, deliver food, drinks, and merchandise, and handle financial transactions accurately. The role demands a high level of attention to detail, customer service skills, knowledge of menu items, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The server must also be proficient in operating the Point of Sale (POS) system and complying with all company policies and procedures related to food and beverage service.
Key responsibilities include promoting positive customer relations by greeting customers warmly and creating a friendly atmosphere, taking and documenting orders efficiently, preparing and serving food and beverages according to standardized recipes while maintaining compliance with safety guidelines, and presenting accurate bills in a timely manner. The position also involves regular cleanliness and organization tasks such as maintaining the bar setup, washing glassware, cleaning shelves and counters, and ensuring the dining area is tidy throughout the shift.
Moreover, the server is entrusted with verifying the age and legitimacy of customers purchasing alcohol to ensure compliance with legal requirements and practicing responsible beverage service by assessing customers' consumption levels. Inventory management and preparation based on business volume, as directed by supervisors, also form an essential part of the role. The candidate must be able to work independently while meeting stringent deadlines and maintaining excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
This role is physical and requires the ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, and use fine motor skills. The work environment includes exposure to varied temperature conditions, noise, smoke, and public interaction. Evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts are required, reflecting the dynamic and customer-focused nature of the hospitality industry. The position demands obtaining relevant certifications such as ABC safe alcohol server training and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification, along with a background and drug/alcohol screening as part of the onboarding process. Overall, this server role is essential to the smooth operation of the restaurant's food and beverage services, ensuring guests receive timely, courteous, and responsible service that enhances their overall experience.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required unless waived by HR management
- minimum of two years working in food and beverage or hospitality industry required
- one year of bartending work required unless waived by hiring manager
- must obtain ABC certificate of safe alcohol server training
- required to have and obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification
- must successfully pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen
- must successfully pass background investigation
- must obtain and maintain gaming license

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred

Job Duties
- Promotes positive customer relations, greets customers and creates a friendly atmosphere
- promotes and documents orders for drinks, reciting selection of all call and premium brands as requested by memory
- takes orders from customers in a prompt and friendly manner
- inspects menus and special cards daily to ensure they are presented to the guest
- prepare all food and/or beverage items using prep sheets and standard ingredient recipes
- prepares and serves cocktails and other beverages accurately and without waste according to the customer's specifications and ABC requirements
- inputs orders at the point of sale
- creates checks for each customer/party/server
- maintains accountability of all beverages served
- prepare and display all food and merchandise in accordance to ServeSafe and other regulatory standards
- presents an accurate check to guest in a timely fashion
- thanks patrons and invites them to return
- cleans up after customers at the bar and maintains an orderly and clean work area at all times
- maintains proper and adequate bar setup
- washes glassware and utensils after each use

- counts cash, separates charge slips, and ensures cash tips are input into tip pouches immediately
- ensures dining area tables are cleaned and maintained properly throughout the shift
- cleans shelves, counters and windows
- responds to customer questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- safeguards casino monies by balancing house bank at the beginning and end of each shift
- arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive displays

- maintains knowledge and answers guest questions regarding all food venues, beverage service, and casino-related information
- attends and participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings
- follows guidelines regarding alcohol service, safety and customer service according to established regulations policies and procedures
