Job Description
Tria is a distinguished wine bar located in the heart of Center City Philadelphia, with two vibrant locations that have significantly contributed to elevating the city’s wine culture while maintaining a fun and inviting atmosphere. Tria’s unique approach to wine, cheese, and beer focuses on seasonally curated menus that highlight passionate, smaller producers. This dedication to quality and authenticity sets Tria apart as a community-centered establishment where guests can relax, connect, and engage in meaningful conversation without the distractions of televisions or noisy environments. This concept fosters lively, deeper, and cheerier interactions, all enhanced by an outstanding selection of beverages and culinary pairings.
Tria is not just about delivering superb wine and hospitality; it’s about creating an inclusive and supportive environment for both guests and staff. The company is committed to reshaping the restaurant industry's employee valuation system through its innovative Tria Promise. This commitment makes Tria one of Philadelphia’s best restaurant workplaces and an admired model within the hospitality sector. The Promise includes a range of 17 diverse benefits and practices designed to support and empower employees at every level. Highlights include a minimum wage of $20 per hour for servers and bartenders (and $15 for hosts and support staff), a modern healthcare plan that covers primary care, urgent care, mental health services, lab tests, and prescription discounts with unlimited visits and no copays or deductibles, and discounted access to a premium "Cadillac" health insurance plan.
Employees at Tria also enjoy paid time off, a retirement plan with employer matching contributions, industry-leading ongoing training, and a well-established Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Psychological Safety (DEIP) Committee that ensures a safe and welcoming workplace culture. Tria believes that investing in such benefits fosters an environment where staff can thrive personally and professionally, which directly translates to exceptional guest experiences. The company culture encourages long-term commitment with the expectation that new hires will work exclusively at Tria and remain with the team for at least one year to foster stability and meaningful growth.
This role at Tria is targeted towards passionate, dedicated individuals who have a genuine affinity for fine wine and hospitality. The position offers a unique career opportunity to grow and learn in a supportive environment that champions teamwork and shared success. Staff members are expected to work a minimum of four scheduled shifts per week to maintain service excellence and to participate in mandatory ongoing training every other Wednesday, which is enjoyable and educational, covering wine, cheese, beer, cocktails, and food tastings.
In addition, the company operates a pooled wages system for floor staff, promoting transparency, equitable earnings distribution, and strong camaraderie among employees. This approach supports a collaborative workplace where team members are invested in each other’s success. Overall, joining Tria means becoming part of a passionate community dedicated to quality, inclusion, and the joy of hospitality — making it an ideal environment for professionals who want to thrive and contribute meaningfully to Philadelphia’s vibrant wine and restaurant scene.
