We are currently seeking a professional, high-energy Server/Bartender to join our team. This role offers $5 per hour plus tips and is ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with customers, have a passion for mixology, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Server/Bartender will be responsible for greeting customers, understanding their preferences, answering inquiries about the menu, recommending items, and preparing a variety of beverages and food. This position is customer-centric, requiring efficiency, attentiveness, and excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate will serve patrons in a positive and friendly manner, expertly mix and garnish drinks according to recipes, and maintain a professional and personable dining ambiance. Beyond preparing and serving food and drinks, responsibilities include setting up tables and the bar before service, adhering strictly to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to protect both patrons and the establishment. The Server/Bartender will assist guests with menu selections by suggesting food and beverage pairings, explaining restaurant specialties, and answering any questions related to food preparation or dietary concerns.
Additional duties involve recording orders, acknowledging special requests, delivering food and beverage items promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction by responding to any additional needs. The role requires maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining and bar area, including restocking bar supplies, cleaning utensils and equipment, and promptly handling spills or other situations requiring attention. Participation in bi-weekly staff training and ongoing bar education is mandatory to ensure up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and beverage trends.
This position calls for a neat appearance and an engaging personality, combined with practical bartending experience. A thorough understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques, coupled with strong task and time management abilities, will contribute to success in this role. The Server/Bartender must be physically capable of standing, walking, bending for extended periods, and lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds. Job Duties
- Serves patrons with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner
- selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers
- maintains dining ambiance with an personable and professional attitude
- prepares the restaurant for service by setting up tables and bar
- protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
- helps patrons select food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining the restaurant's specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions
- transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices and identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests
- serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments
- responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process
- maintains table and bar setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs
- obtains revenues by issuing bills, accepting payments, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons
- restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- maintaining a clean work and dining area/bar by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing/polishing glasses, utensils, and equipment
- attends bi-weekly staff training and continuing bar education
