Job Duties

  • Serve guests with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner
  • Provide information to help food and beverage selections
  • Present ordered choices promptly and efficiently
  • Maintain dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude
  • Prepare room for dining by setting tables, chairs, condiments, and service utensils
  • Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
  • Suggest menu items, explain offerings, and answer food preparation questions
  • Transmit orders accurately to bar and kitchen, noting special dietary needs
  • Keep kitchen staff informed on timing of meal progression
  • Deliver orders and accompaniments efficiently from bar and kitchen
  • Respond to additional guest needs proactively
  • Maintain table setting by clearing courses and refilling water glasses
  • Conclude dining experience by thanking guests and inviting them to return
  • Total charges, issue bills, accept payments, and return change or receipts
  • Greet guests professionally, noting special occasions and preferences
  • Manage tables effectively to ensure timely service
  • Use Aloha POS and OpenTable for order processing and reservations
  • Upsell and recommend items to increase sales
  • Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness
  • Collaborate with kitchen and other servers for seamless service
