The Service Assistant role is essential to maintaining the smooth operation of the restaurant. This position involves a variety of responsibilities focused on supporting the daily functions of front-of-house service. Duties include busing and setting tables, assisting with running food orders, restocking server stations, and supporting bartenders by cleaning and organizing glassware and other bar tools. Additionally, the Service Assistant plays an important role in sanitizing and cleaning all dining, bar, and patio areas, adhering closely to detailed cleaning checklists and sanitation regulations to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

This job requires a highly motivated and energetic individual who can multitask effectively in a fast-paced service environment. The ability to collaborate with team members to create a cooperative and efficient work atmosphere is crucial for success. The position demands frequent movement and physical stamina, such as standing and walking for extended periods, lifting objects up to 25 pounds, and performing repetitive motions like bending and reaching. Job Requirements

Standing/walking: remaining on ones feet in an upright position at a workstation or moving about in a work area
Sitting: remaining in a normal seated position
Carrying: moving an object usually by holding it in hands or arms, or on shoulders
Lifting: raising an object from one level to another with hands or arms and/or shoulders, back and legs, must be able to lift items up to 25 pounds
Pushing/pulling: exerting force upon an object so that object moves away from/towards the force
Stooping: bending body downward and forward by bending spine at waist
Bending: bending knees to come to rest on knees or knee
Reaching: extending hands or arms in any direction
Handling: seizing, holding, grasping, turning or otherwise performing precision work with hands
Bending/twisting: continual intermittent twisting of the spine
Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work
Hearing: receiving detailed information through oral communication
Vision: clarity of vision at near or far distances
Computer usage or other special equipment operated

Job Duties

Cleaning and sanitizing following detailed cleaning checklists for all departments in the sports bar including restrooms
Following and completing cleaning check lists including times when high touch point checklists are required
Complying with sanitation regulations and safety standards
Keeps stations and areas neat and clean by using the clean as you go method
Sweeps, wet mops and/or brushes floors, as needed or directed by manager
Wipes down chairs, barstools and tables as directed by management
Pre-bus and bus tables
Restock server stations
Run food to tables
Supports servers and bartenders as needed including assisting with glassware cleaning and restocking
Other duties as assigned
