The Server position at Oakmont of Santa Clarita plays a vital role in enhancing the dining experience of residents, family members, and visitors. Servers are responsible for taking accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring compliance with proper serving etiquette, setting up and breaking down tables, and maintaining a safe and inviting dining environment. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests, including physical and TB tests
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with residents, family members, and staff
  • Willingness to comply with health and safety protocols including COVID-19 related requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Availability to work shifts as scheduled

Job Qualifications

  • Experience is preferred but not necessary, we will train the right candidate
  • Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
  • Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
  • Must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests, including physical and TB tests
  • For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines

Job Duties

  • Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner
  • Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests' food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS (point of sale computer)
  • Set up and break down (bus) tables
  • Assure compliance with all proper serving techniques/etiquette (e.g. serving from left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.)
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
