About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated Server/Waiter to join our team. This role involves greeting and serving members and guests, providing detailed information on menus, and handling various front-of-the-house duties. As a Server/Waiter, you will be the frontline representative of our restaurant, playing a crucial part in delivering an outstanding dining experience. Your responsibilities will include taking food and drink orders accurately with a positive attitude, engaging with guests to make them feel welcome, and offering knowledgeable suggestions about our menu items. You will ensure that guests are enjoying their meals and promptly address any issues to maintain satisfaction. Additionally, you will maintain table settings, including replenishing utensils and drinks, removing courses as completed, and being attentive to guests' needs.

The position requires multitasking and a strong knowledge of the menu and beverage options, including cocktails, wines, beers, spirits, and sake. You will be expected to stay updated on menu changes or specials and communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding inventory and availability. Where applicable, holding a state or local food handler's card and alcohol service certification is necessary. The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for long hours during shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Requirements

Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred
have 2+ years of serving or related experience in a full-service restaurant
have a current food handler’s card and alcohol service certification as required by federal/state/local law
meet minimum age for preparing and serving alcoholic beverages
have basic knowledge of food and beverage service/hospitality
have excellent customer service skills
high school diploma or GED
ability to lift 40 lbs
ability to work long hours, evenings, holidays, and weekends
ability to remain on feet the majority of the workday

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
have 2+ years of serving or related experience in a full-service restaurant
have a current food handler’s card and alcohol service certification as required by law
strong knowledge of food and beverage service
excellent customer service skills
basic understanding of beer, wine, spirits, and sake preferred
ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

Take food and drink orders from members/guest accurately and with a positive attitude
engage with members/guest in a friendly manner
provide detailed information about the menu and make suggestions
ensure tables are enjoying their meals and resolve any issues
assist members/guest in selecting food and beverages by presenting menu and explaining specialties
stay updated on menu choices, specials, and stock levels
maintain table settings by removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling drinks
properly open and pour wine at tableside
perform basic cleaning tasks as directed
