As a Server at Cunningham Restaurant Group, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences by ensuring guests receive attentive and friendly service from the moment they arrive until their departure. This full-service role demands a high level of professionalism and a keen attention to detail, as you will be responsible for accurately taking and managing orders, serving food and beverages in a timely manner, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the dining area. Additionally, servers at CRG are encouraged to promote menu specials and upsell additional items to enhance the guest experience and contribute to the restaurant's success.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift trays of food and beverages
  • Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as necessary
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous upscale dining service experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to a high level of service excellence
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of wine and spirits is a plus

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and make them feel welcome
  • Assist guests with menu selections and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings
  • Ensure prompt and courteous service throughout the meal
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, or special requests with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests
  • Input orders into the Point of Sale system
  • Double-check orders for accuracy before submitting them to the kitchen
  • Coordinate special requests and dietary restrictions with kitchen staff
  • Serve food and beverages promptly according to presentation standards
  • Perform tableside tasks such as wine presentations, bread and oil service, and water service
  • Promote additional items such as wine pairings, specialty cocktails, or dessert selections
  • Monitor guests' needs by refilling drinks, clearing plates, and providing additional items as requested
  • Ensure all meals are served with appropriate condiments and accompaniments
  • Set up and clean tables before and after guest use
  • Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized dining area
  • Assist with restaurant cleanliness including dishwashing and cleaning tasks as needed
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure efficient restaurant operations
  • Communicate guest feedback and special requests to team members
  • Promote daily specials, desserts, and beverages to increase sales
  • Suggestively sell additional items or upgrades to enhance guest experience
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines including food safety regulations
  • Follow company policies on alcohol service and guest conduct
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely
