The Server position at Four Seasons Napa Valley is an integral part of the dining experience, particularly for the Truss Restaurant + Bar. This role requires a passionate and knowledgeable individual capable of delivering memorable service through anticipation, hospitality, and a detailed understanding of the menu and beverage offerings. Servers act as a key link between the kitchen and the guest, ensuring orders are taken accurately, guests’ needs are anticipated and met, and the overall dining experience exceeds expectations. This role also demands the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining the impeccable standards of the Four Seasons brand.
As a server, candidates will be responsible for describing menu selections vividly and knowledgeably to guests, coordinating with kitchen staff through a point-of-sales system, and ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of food and beverages. The server will also handle guest payments accurately and professionally, maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dining area, and respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests. This full-time position requires flexibility to work early morning, mid-day, and evening shifts, supporting a 24/7 operational schedule. The hourly wage for this role is $18.51, reflecting the premium service standards expected at Four Seasons.
Candidates interested in this opportunity should bring a minimum of two years' experience in food service or related fields, preferably with exposure to luxury hotels, resorts, or fine dining environments. Knowledge of Napa Valley and surrounding areas is considered an asset but not required. The ability to multitask, balance a tray, and operate cash and credit card transactions with accuracy are essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to manage challenging guest interactions diplomatically are also necessary qualifications. Job Duties
- Take guest orders and describe the selection of food and beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item’s origin, taste, and preparation methods
- Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system
