The Ridgeline Hotel offers a unique opportunity for seasonal servers to join their team, providing high-quality food and beverage service to guests in an environment that balances exceptional hospitality with the rugged charm of the Montana wilderness. This position is seasonal and tipped, with an hourly pay starting at $10.85, excluding tips, which supplement income considerably. The employment type focuses on seasonal availability and includes shifts on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, with the possibility of overtime and split shifts.

As a server at The Ridgeline Hotel, you are not just delivering meals but crafting memorable dining experiences that keep guests returning. You will be the face of the restaurant, responsible for greeting guests, answering menu-related inquiries, communicating restaurant specials, taking food and beverage orders accurately, and ensuring orders are managed efficiently through the point-of-sale system. Additionally, servers are expected to serve alcoholic beverages responsibly in accordance with legal and company policies, maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, and collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth operations.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs, as well as standing, walking, bending for long periods of time, which may include walking up stairs
  • Visual awareness and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in cash handling and credit card processing
  • Beneficial if you have one year's experience as a server in a high-volume environment and experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment
  • No high school diploma or GED required

Job Duties

  • Greet and attend to guests' needs, provide menus and clearly communicate restaurant specials, answering menu questions, and collecting food and beverage orders
  • Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to all alcohol service policies and procedures
  • Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and process payments, as well as prepare and deliver the check to guests
  • Collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen and bar staff
  • Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned and ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and functioning
