We are a locally-owned independent restaurant group with two distinctive establishments located in Savannah, Georgia: The Cotton Exchange Tavern and The Pirates' House Restaurant. Each restaurant offers a unique dining experience, distinguished by different concepts, menus, and ambiance, yet both are committed to serving great food paired with fabulous service. As a waiter/waitress in our restaurants, you will be a vital part of delivering this exceptional service. We are seeking candidates with strong hard skills and outstanding interpersonal abilities who can multitask efficiently and cater to our guests' needs with attentiveness and positivity. This full-time role is perfect for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to provide excellent customer experiences through attentive service, patience, and reliability.
Your primary responsibility will be to greet guests warmly, seat them comfortably, and assist with menu recommendations to enhance their dining experience. You will take food and beverage orders accurately, either using software, order slips, or memorization, and communicate these orders effectively to the kitchen and bar staff. Prompt delivery of meals and beverages while carrying trays carefully is essential to maintain the flow of service. After guests finish dining, you will present their bills, handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly, and ensure tables are cleaned and set properly for the next guests.
This position requires a customer-oriented individual who is friendly, courteous, accommodating, and reliable. You will be expected to help prevent minors from ordering alcoholic beverages by checking IDs and also engage in upselling appropriate menu items when possible to contribute to the restaurant's success. Working closely with your teammates, you will help maintain a smooth operation where all guests feel welcomed and valued.
