The team at Sunriver Resort works collaboratively to support the vision and mission of being the destination of choice, creating a vibrant community and delivering exceptional service at every touchpoint.
The Server position at Sunriver Resort is a vital role within the food and beverage team, responsible for delivering high-standard service in the assigned outlets. This role requires strong interpersonal skills to act as a liaison between the kitchen and guests, ensuring orders are taken accurately, and guests receive their meals and beverages promptly. The Server demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the menu including daily specials, wine, and beverage options, and remains attentive to guest needs while adhering to the resort’s service standards manual.
Serving guests professionally and warmly, the Server contributes to maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards by following detailed protocols for order entry, food preparation assistance, and station maintenance. Tasks include preparing condiments, brewing coffee, managing transaction paperwork through POS systems, and ensuring cleanliness in the dining area. The Server is expected to engage guests by providing menu descriptions and recommendations, handling special dietary requests with care, and promoting sales creatively to enhance the dining experience.
Additionally, the role demands strict compliance with alcohol service regulations, including checking identification for age and possessing or obtaining a valid OLCC card before commencement. The Server is also responsible for balancing cash and bookkeeping procedures, completing various operational side work, and upholding the overall Sunriver Resort culture by welcoming and bidding farewell to guests respectfully and personally.
Candidates with previous high-volume restaurant experience, hospitality background, and proficiency with POS systems are preferred. Knowledge of wine, beer, and mixed drinks is an asset, supporting the Server’s ability to answer guest inquiries competently. The position typically requires candidates to be at least 21 years old and carry the appropriate certifications to serve alcohol responsibly.
This full-time position offers an opportunity to grow within a quality-driven resort environment, contributing to an exceptional guest experience and becoming part of a team dedicated to excellence and guest satisfaction.
