This role, based within this dynamic and vibrant company, is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and entertainment. The position focuses on delivering exceptional guest services in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, likely at one of Live Nation's venues or affiliated restaurants. As a Server, the candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, responding to inquiries about the menu and wine list, and providing detailed information on daily specials with thoughtful recommendations. The role demands an ability to anticipate guest needs, manage multiple tables efficiently, and resolve any service or food-related concerns with a warm, positive attitude. This is a highly interactive position that requires excellent guest relation skills, product knowledge including wine and liquor, and the ability to suggestively sell menu items and beverages to enhance the guest experience.
Furthermore, the position involves essential tasks such as taking orders via POS terminals, accurately delivering food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and handling payments including cash and credit cards. Employees must also be flexible to assist colleagues and occasionally work special events across the venue. This fast-paced environment demands candidates who have stamina for extended periods of standing and working on their feet, with physical capability to lift or move items up to 25 pounds using proper techniques.
The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma and 2-5 years of experience in high-volume restaurant operations. A Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or equivalent is required, alongside a thorough understanding of safe alcohol service and food preparation standards. Knowledge of point-of-sale systems is preferred but not essential. Job Duties
- Greet all guests at table
- respond to guest inquiries regarding menu and wine list
- inform guests of daily specials and make recommendations
- suggestively sell menu items, beverages, desserts, etc
- anticipate and respond to guest needs
- respond to guest concerns or complaints regarding food or service and correct errors or resolve complaints with a friendly, positive attitude
- organize and prioritize service per appropriate service sequence
- take menu, beverage and bar orders from guests and communicate orders to kitchen and/or bar through POS terminal
- check food orders prior to serving to ensure that they are correct, properly presented, and that special requests have been met
- deliver food and beverages to table
- perform opening, running, closing duties according to Live Nation policy
- maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shift
- have the ability to memorize menus and daily specials
- pre-bus tables by removing dirty plates, glasses, etc., from table once guest has finished
- clean spills on tables or around work area
- maintain Live Nation safety and sanitation standards
- prepare guest checks on micros terminal and check for accuracy
- receive payment and process cash, credit card or traveler’s check transactions
- have knowledge of all music, promotional or special events in the house
- assist other servers or employees as needed
- occasionally work special events scheduled throughout the venue
