Job Description

My Neighbor Felix is a vibrant pan-Mexican kitchen and bar located in Centennial, Colorado. Inspired by the seven diverse regions of Mexico, My Neighbor Felix delivers an authentic dining experience that combines bold flavors, colorful dishes, and a lively atmosphere. The restaurant prides itself on genuine hospitality and a team-oriented culture that emphasizes fast-paced, guest-focused service with strong support systems on the floor. As part of the culinary scene in Centennial, My Neighbor Felix offers an engaging environment for food enthusiasts and professionals passionate about delivering quality service in a dynamic setting.

The role of Server Support Staff at My Neighbor Felix plays a pivotal function in enhancing the overall dining experience. This position is integral to the front-of-house service team and focuses on supporting servers by ensuring smooth, efficient, and timely service to guests. Server Support Staff may operate as Food Runners, Expos, or Bussers, and while they work alongside kitchen and bar staff, their responsibilities are centered on the service side of the restaurant rather than food preparation. Candidates have the option to apply for one specific role or as part of the full support team, offering flexibility and opportunities for growth.

As a Food Runner, staff deliver food quickly and with proper presentation, confirming order accuracy before dispatch and maintaining clear communication with servers and kitchen expediter (expo) staff to ensure optimal timing and guest satisfaction. The Expo role acts as the communication hub between the kitchen and front-of-house, organizing tickets, managing food flow, and coordinating team efforts to guarantee order completeness and accuracy. Bussers support the team by clearing and resetting tables efficiently, upholding cleanliness in the dining room and service areas, and assisting with water service and table maintenance to create a welcoming environment.

General duties extend to supporting all front-of-house operations, maintaining awareness of guest needs, completing opening, running, and closing side work duties, and adhering to health, safety, and sanitation standards. A commitment to the restaurant’s "Every Guest, Every Time" service philosophy is essential, ensuring guests receive exceptional attention every time they visit.

Working at My Neighbor Felix offers competitive hourly wage compliant with Colorado state law, including participation in tip pools where applicable. Employees benefit from earned sick time under the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act, a 25% employee discount at all My Neighbor Felix and ViewHouse locations, flexible scheduling options, and career growth opportunities within the restaurant. This position demands physical stamina including standing and walking for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required, as a positive attitude, communication skills, teamwork, and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays are emphasized.

If you are enthusiastic about delivering top-tier service in a lively and supportive environment, the Server Support Staff role at My Neighbor Felix invites you to join a team that values inclusivity, professionalism, and a passion for Mexican cuisine. The restaurant is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace free from discrimination, making it a welcoming place for all potential employees.
