The resort is embedded in a vibrant mountain culture where employees and guests alike share a passion for the mountain lifestyle, adventure, and exceptional service. Mt. Bachelor thrives on a culture that celebrates a positive attitude, teamwork, and problem solving, making every visit an opportunity for moments that guests remember. POWDR is recognized for creating an engaging work environment with outstanding perks that encourage employees to truly work where they play. The resort offers seasonal employment opportunities designed for individuals passionate about mountain culture who wish to contribute in a role that emphasizes guest satisfaction and memorable dining experiences at various food and beverage outlets throughout the resort.
The Server position at Mt. Bachelor plays a vital role in enhancing the guest dining experience by providing professional, patient, and personable service. Servers embody the resort’s mission by ensuring customer satisfaction with a welcoming attitude and effective communication. This role demands a blend of interpersonal skills, knowledge of the menu, and proficiency with point-of-sale systems to efficiently guide guests through their dining experience and upsell promotions. The position is hourly, offering a competitive pay rate starting at $16.00 per hour, and requires flexible working hours to accommodate the dynamic environment of the mountain resort.
Servers at Mt. Bachelor benefit from a range of exclusive perks including free employee season passes and discounts on dependent passes, which enable them to enjoy the extensive mountain recreational offerings. Additional benefits include discounted friends and family day passes, free transportation to and from surrounding communities such as Bend, Sunriver, and La Pine, and substantial discounts across retail, food and beverage, rentals, and lessons within the resort. The resort also supports employee well-being with programs such as an employee housing program, 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting, discounted onsite childcare, and a suite of local and national discounts with popular outdoor and lifestyle brands. Moreover, employees gain access to reciprocal benefits at other POWDR resorts and discounted day passes at IKON pass resorts, reinforcing the resort’s commitment to those who work amidst the mountains they love.
The Server is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitized, and organized workspace and consistently delivering service aligned with health and safety standards mandated by the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC), the Deschutes County Health Department, and Mt. Bachelor policies. The role also requires handling cash accurately, completing shift paperwork, and collaborating effectively with internal teams and guests. Although the position does not include supervisory duties, servers are expected to support less experienced colleagues and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED and ideally have over one year of experience serving in a high-volume outlet. Knowledge of food allergens, menu ingredients, and preparation methods is important to meet guest needs. Physical demands include the ability to carry food trays with multiple items, constant walking, lifting, and working in occasionally harsh winter conditions such as snow removal. Candidates must hold a valid OLCC license and Oregon Food Handler’s Card. This role suits individuals with a positive, proactive attitude, excellent communication and multitasking skills, and flexible availability to work any shift any day of the week.
Joining Mt. Bachelor as a Server offers more than just a job; it offers an opportunity to be part of a vibrant mountain community where memorable guest experiences are born, and employees enjoy a balanced lifestyle supported by comprehensive benefits and a fun, inclusive culture.
